Daytona wrap up

Well not the finish race fans care for, but an exciting race non the less!

Not the driver I would have picked to win the race, but a good win non the less!

Mat Kenseth is one of the most understated drivers in the series. He is calm and is usually his biggest critic. We call him the Eeyore of NASCAR. I believe things work out for a reason and yesterday Matt was in the right place at the right time. His car was not the best on track, but a wreck that took out the lead cars, unlikely pit mistakes for Earnhardt Jr's team and a rain delay give Matt Kenseth his first Daytona 500 win.

At first I was disappointed, Matt is a bit, well lets just say his personality is a bit low key......OK OK dull.

But when I heard some of the statistics I am glad for Matt. It is the first time in twenty some odd years for a Ford to be in victory lane in the 500. It was the first win for Matt in 10 years of trying. It is the first win for Roush racing in twenty some odd years of trying. It was the first race for the crew chief for Matt's team. A lot of great first for this team. I am not sure they would have won if the rain had not come and the race was called, but it was so that is how it was suppose to be

Congrats to Matt, his car owner, his sponsors and his brand new crew chief.!!!!!
